May 2005 - Currently                  Self-employed Commercial Photographer and Practicing Artist   Photographer and post-production assistant

  • Completed various contracts as lead photographer or assistant on a spectrum of jobs including architecture, portraiture and weddings. 

  • Have conceptualized, implemented and completed several artistic projects that led to exhibitions, publications and private sales of work, both in the U.S. and internationally.

Curatorial Intern / Photographer

  • Completed texts for a city walk and touch table relating art and artists to locations around the city of Brugge. 

  • Assisted curators with various administrative tasks.

  • Scouted, shot and edited photos for use in the city tour, as well as publication materials (flyers).

  • Oversaw proper use of the labs by students and monitors and assisted both professors and students with their questions and problems. Taught students proper shooting, developing and printing techniques after hours or when professors were unavailable.

  • Responsible for giving the photography curriculum a "face-lift," for a national technical summer camp for kids ages 9-17 by updating and/or creating new lessons.

  • Taught children ages 11-17 photography basics using digital SLR cameras, Lightroom and Photoshop, covering advanced editing for children with appropriate skills.

  • Used several different cameras and digital imaging devices to aid ophthalmic physicians  in the diagnosis and assessment of eye disease.

Volunteer Work

2017 - 2018 Participated in rebuilding Puerto Rico’s water resources after Hurricane Maria with S.M.R.C. and Human Rights

Festival, Inc, in the NW sections of the island. Documented the ongoing crisis through photography and interviews of

residents and aid workers. Donated the photographs and articles to charity groups for use in fundraising.

“Adopted” a family and advocated for them with FEMA, successfully getting their case expedited. 

Resulted in a self-published book of my photographs with all profits to charity.
